Course Description
This free course provides background information about Credit for Prior Learning in general and how it pertains to your academic career at Ball State. The 3 modules will cover introduction to credit for prior learning, the 10 standards of prior learning, how to build a portfolio review, and how to prepare and finalize your portfolio for submission. Students in the course will have a dedicated CPL advisor to assist to answer any questions and to review the draft portfolio. Once the portfolio is approved by the CPL advisor, the student may submit the portfolio for an official review by content specialists. The course to submit the portfolio review and to pay the processing fee is: Credit for Prior Learning Portfolio Submission.

- To explain the concepts of Credit for Prior Learning and the governing policies and procedures.
- To demonstrate how to create a Credit for Prior Learning portfolio.
- To review the Credit for Prior Learning portfolio review process.
